Terri Ward is a therapist at Iridescence Counselling. She holds a Masters degree in Psychology (MA Counselling Psychology), and a Bachelors degree in Social Work (BSW). Since 2002, she is registered as a Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers. She has over 25 years of counselling experience.


Terri has held both leadership and frontline positions in many programs within Mental Health and Social Services in Alberta, giving her a broad scope of experience in almost every aspect of support services in rural and urban Alberta. Her unique approach to counselling comes from a wealth of knowledge and direct experience with several therapeutic modalities. She specializes in Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Terri's practice is founded on respect and relationships. Her approach is transparent and compassionate. She is committed to nurturing trust and safety. She works with each of her clients in a non-judgemental way to gain a comprehensive understanding of their struggles and the impact on their lives.

A schema is comprised of memories, bodily sensations, emotions and cognitions.  It gives us a lens on how we interpret situations, essentially telling us how we see the world and how the world sees us.
